INTERNSHIP #1: JUNIOR EVENT COORDINATOR
An exuberant “can do” attitude, creative ability, organization and extreme attention to details within a quick changing and challenging environment are part of the main requirements for this 2013 Junior Event Coordinator internship. Your experience will lead you through all phases of Event Design from conceptualization, planning, client/vendor meetings, procurement of goods & services, office diligence, ending of course with onsite production to see how the creative process comes to life. Skill set: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & Outlook) knowledge or proficiency in Illustrator or Photoshop a plus.

  • Intern reports directly to Events Services Manager
  • Assists in coordination of all contracted events
  • Assists in research & development of design concepts
  • Assists in all element orders for demos-creates demo preparation list for production staff & assists in ordering/follow up on all needed elements for the presentation including scheduling set up.
  • Assists and follows up with venue to confirm set up load in time/day and schedule load out times/day for CDD along with all coordination of rental & entertainment vendors
  • Assists to maintain timely correspondence during design process with client, venue and vendors to ensure complete event success
  • Assists in ordering of all rental items; linens, chairs, china, vases, votives, etc. per contracted event
  • Assists in after event follow up
  • Responsible for maintenance of CDD vendor library
  • Maintenance and upkeep of portfolio

INTERNSHIP #2: MARKETING SOCIAL MEDIA COORDINATOR
As Carolyn Dempsey Design takes a leap into the ever evolving social media world, our intern will be there to support, guide and help develop this new and exciting phase of our 2013 marketing plan. This candidate will demonstrate confidence, strong organizational skills and be able to work independently and swiftly through projects. Excellent verbal, creative writing and communication skills are a must along with good technical understanding and a passion for social media. In this position the intern must become an advocate of the company in all aspects of social media. Skill set: Twitter, Face book, Blogging & Pinterest a must.

  • Manage Face book network and it’s tools to optimize our presence
  • Develop ideas and postings for our Blog
  • Manage a Blogger outreach program and build an active brand network to spread the word about Carolyn Dempsey Design
  • Develop and manage campaign blasts on MailChimp
  • Develop Tweet page and responsible for daily posts
  • Monitor trends in social media tools and applications
  • Monitor effective benchmarks for measuring the impact of social media programs and analyze, review and report on effectiveness of campaigns in an effort to maximize results
  • Search engine optimization to monitor social media trends that impact our business
